Noah Kriegsmann
is a native Seattlite. He attended Garfield High School and graduated from the University of Washington, with a major in Comparative History of Ideas and a minor in Fine Arts. In addition, he has completed sculpture, painting and metalworking courses at Pratt Fine Art Center, Gage Academy of Art and The Evergreen State College. His experience has been enriched by partnering with local craftsmen and sculptors, both in apprenticeships and joint projects. He is fascinated by working with materials, in textures, forms and structures. To approach building as a kind of sculpture opens up possibilities for the creative use of space and aesthetics. A place or object suggests its own development, from shaping the solid forms in a room around the natural flow through it, to finding the beauty in a weathered piece of wood. Noah aims for a simple elegance in any project, one that presents itself as the perfect design choice in the collaboration with a client.
World travel fills much of his non-building time, as does bicycling, hiking and creating experimental music. He has been working steadily in the fields of homebuilding and woodworking since 2000, founding NK Build in 2006.

Conan Storlie, originally from Seattle, grew up locally and abroad. He has spent extensive time in Europe, South East Asia, Australia, and Latin America. Since continually residing in the Seattle area since the late 1990s, Conan has a combined eight years of residential remodeling experience in Seattle, Tacoma, and Vashon Island. Additionally, he graduated from the University of Washington with a Community, Environment, and Planning degree from the College of Built Environments with minors in both Geography and Near Eastern Studies. This degree emphasized sustainable practices, and Conan focused more specifically on relationships between people and the spaces they inhabit. The interconnectedness between disciplines, materials, people and the environments we inhabit are central to his approach to the design-build process. Combining both educational and practical experiences, Conan is deeply committed to bringing his broad perspectives to projects. In addition to a rich and distinct personal history, he thrives on creative collaboration. Conan is a longtime basketball player and enjoys writing and anything to do with water. He resides in West Seattle with his family.
